Feel at one with nature surrounded by beautiful, natural wood, yet cosseted by 21st Century comfort and convenience. Our Log Houses are built to the highest standard using wood from sustainable sources in the US, treated with our unique lamination process to ensure long, trouble-free life.

Our craftsman-made joints ensure the logs seal tight and remain trouble free, and are also an attractive feature. We offer you a choice of at least three different types of wood depending on your preference and the suitability for the location.

Our specialist construction team can normally erect a medium sized three bed property in six to eight weeks, including the internal walls and flooring. See overleaf for full details of our service.

As part of our service we can work with you to provide the most ECO friendly house possible, using Heat Pumps, Geothermal heating, Biomass or other heating solutions as appropriate.

How our service works:

1.  Decide on the type of property you want. You can either provide us with drawings or select a house type from one of our “standard” properties. You can modify these in any way you like, subject to architectural and local planning constraints.

2.  Let us know where you want to build the house. 

3.  You appoint a local architect/engineer. He will work with the local authorities to obtain planning permission, as well as overseeing the sub-projects for water, electricity, sewerage and any work needed for foundations and bases. He should also manage the local tradesmen working on the sub-projects and finishing, including bathrooms and kitchens.

4.  Agree pricing and sign contracts. At this stage the initial payment (50%) for the log house is due. On receipt of payment we will instruct our US plant to prepare the house. 

5.  Around eight weeks from order the log house will arrive on site in shipping containers.

6.  Around two days after the containers arrive our construction team will arrive on site. For an “average” sized house the construction time will be six to eight weeks.

7.  Two further payments are due as construction progresses. One on completion of the walls (20%) and the other on completion of the roof (20%).

8.  On completion of the Log house, and when it has been signed off by our QC department, the final payment is due (10%).
